Customer Review: Warning - Do Not Buy
I have never written a review for a product but because this humidifier has been such a huge disappointment and waste of money I feel compelled to warn others. The biggest problem is that the fan sucks up water and continuously drips, very loudly! It is very annoying. In the middle of the night I have tried picking up the body off of the base, shaking it to drain all the water out of the fan, but 10 minutes later it’s right back to drip, drip, drip. Of course you want to get a humidifier to increase the humidity in your room, but this one does not do the job. We have a digital humidity detector, after running this humidifier, full of water at the highest setting for more than 24 hours the humidity level in the room only changed by 1 percent, 22% to 23%. A comfortable humidity level for a room needs to be at least 30%. We have an older Honeywell humidifier for which I recently purchased new filters and the first night we ran it, the humidity in the room jumped to 35% and has consistently been in the 30s every time we run the humidifier. So I am certain not only does the Slant/Fin GF-240 have the most annoying dripping habit but it doesn’t even do the job of adding humidity to the room. Save your money and spend it on a humidifier that works!
Customer Review: Best Humidifier I Have Owned
So far I really like my new Slant/Fin GF-240 1.9 Ga Germ-Free Cool Mist Evaporative Humidifier. The features I like best about it are the large capacity water tank, the ease of filling the tank, the use of tap water without getting mineral deposits and white dust, and its quietness on low fan. This humidifier is much better than the last two I owned. The first was a cool mist machine that sprayed fine droplets of water all over the room. The other was a hot mist machine that clogged up with minerals in the water and had to be cleaned with Lime Away about once per week. Needless to say, we have very hard water, but I have had no problems using it in my new Slant/Fin GF-320 humidifier.

With the chill in the air it was time to fire up the heater to keep the house warm. We normally use the humidifier along with the heater, but when I went to find a new filter/wick I realized we were out. Sad, without the humidifier running the kitties were staticky (don’t think that’s a real word) all week. I tried searching for the Bemis online site, but I was having no luck and what I did find was WAY too pricey. I continued my searched online for a replacement wick and found that Amazon had a great price. We ordered it from Buy-It-Now through Amazon on Thursday and it arrived early Saturday morning. The filters were Best Air Humidiwick and are compatible with our Bemis 600 series console humidifier. I immediately replaced the filter and fired it up. Now the kitties and I are happy and static free!
Customer Review: DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS SELLER
I ordered the Bemis super wick (#1041) and they sent me a Best Air wick that is not interchangeable. It will not work in my Bemis humidifier. I have attempted to contact the Buy it now store THREE TIMES to no avail. They were happy to take my money and in no hurry to correct their mistake.

Customer Review: No one said it was a “silent” humidifier, just less noisy
I like the quiet care so far. I have had great success cleaning the filter by running through the dishwasher then soaking for a bit in dilute bleach water. I do think they should be replaced once in a while as it is a just a reinforced version of the disposable filters we are used to replacing monthly. They are available through [...] for about $[...].
It gives off a nice white noise, so if you’re used to sleeping with a fan on anyway like we are, it’s just fine.
